The biggest openings
- Lecturer II, Nursing: 200 posts.
- Lecturer II, Clinical Officer: 105 posts.
- 20 posts each: Orthopaedic Trauma Medicine, Community Health, Health Records and IT, Radiology and Imaging, Assistant Office Administrator, Corporate Communications Assistant, and Records Management Assistant.
- Single senior posts include Chief Legal Officer and Senior Assistant Director, ICT.
The rest are spread across 46 adverts. The portal lists each with its grade, number of posts and requirements.
How to apply
- Open the KMTC recruitment portal at recruit.kmtc.ac.ke/jobs and go to Active Adverts. (When we checked, it loaded over http but not https, so type the address in full if a link fails.)
- Register, then read the full advert for the post you want, including the grade.
- Fill in your qualifications, registration and experience exactly as on your certificates.
- Submit before 30 October 2026. KMTC says hard-copy applications will not be accepted.
What to have ready
Requirements differ by post. The Lecturer II Nursing advert, for example, asks for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or one of the KMTC higher diplomas listed in the advert, with six years of practice), registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya and a valid practising licence. Clinical posts generally need current registration with the relevant council, so renew your licence now if it is close to expiry.
The adverts say shortlisted candidates must produce originals of their national ID and their academic and professional certificates and transcripts; check the advert for your post. Public bodies often also ask shortlisted candidates for clearances (KRA, HELB, EACC, CRB, DCI). The KMTC adverts we read did not list them, but see our PSC guide for how to get each one if you are asked.
Do not pay anyone
Applications go through KMTC's recruitment portal, and the contacts to use are the ones printed on the advert itself. Around every large advert, messages appear offering to “secure” a post for a fee. Nobody outside KMTC can do that. See WhatsApp job scams.
