eCitizen is one login for every Kenyan government service, and paybill 222222 for paying the fee. The catch is the order: the account number is the invoice, and the invoice does not exist until you have applied.

What is the eCitizen paybill number?
eCitizen payments go to paybill 222222, the Government Single Payment Platform. The account number is the invoice or reference number your application generates, not your ID or phone number.
How do I log in to eCitizen?
At accounts.ecitizen.go.ke. One account covers every agency on the platform, so if you already registered for any service you use that same login.
How many services are on eCitizen?
The platform states over 22,000 services from more than 100 ministries, counties, departments and agencies.
Can I pay before I apply?
No. The account number is the invoice number and it does not exist until the application does. Apply, generate the invoice, then pay.
Is every government payment on 222222?
Most services routed through eCitizen are, but not all. KRA runs both 222222 and 572572. Use the paybill printed on your own invoice or PRN slip.
Which counties are on eCitizen?
As of 13 September 2026 the platform listed Mombasa, Meru, Tharaka-Nithi, Embu, Kajiado, Bomet and Kisumu. Other counties collect on their own paybills.
