Who should sponsor
SACCOs. Your members Google your paybill before every deposit. A verified listing with a logo and contact card cuts wrong-number payments and reduces support calls.
Schools. Parents pay fees under deadline pressure and look up the paybill on their phone. The verified badge and a CTA linking to your fees portal keep them from paying an old or spoofed number.
Hospitals. Patients and relatives need the right billing paybill fast, often during an emergency. A Pro listing with contact info and hours reassures them the number is current.
SMEs. If your business takes M-PESA payments, a verified sponsored listing is a low-cost trust signal that competes with the volume of unverified paybills circulated on social media.
Government departments. Fees and levies collected via paybill benefit from a canonical, verified listing that citizens can trust before paying.
How we verify
Every claim is checked against a domain-matching email, a company registration number, or a direct confirmation from the paybill owner. We publish nothing on trust. Read the full method on our verification page.
How to sign up
- 1. Fill the claim form. Start at /claim and pick the paybill you own.
- 2. We verify in 24 to 72 hours. A member of the editorial team confirms your claim against public records.
- 3. We invoice, you go live. Pay via M-PESA and the listing upgrades within one business day.
FAQ
- How much does a sponsored listing cost?
- Basic is KES 3,000 per year, Pro is KES 12,000 per year, and Enterprise starts at KES 60,000 per year. Prices exclude VAT and are invoiced via M-PESA paybill.
- What is the difference between the three tiers?
- Basic gives you the Verified Sponsor badge and a corrected listing. Pro adds a logo, a custom tagline, a CTA button, and a contact card. Enterprise adds priority sector-sort, a monthly analytics email, and dedicated onboarding support.
- How does renewal work?
- Listings run for 12 months from the go-live date. We email you 30 and 7 days before expiry. If you do not renew, the listing reverts to its standard editorial entry with no sponsor features.
- How do you verify a claim?
- We ask for proof that you represent the business, usually a domain email match, a company registration number, or a direct confirmation from the paybill owner. See /about/verification for the full method.
- Our paybill already appears on paybillke, do we still need to sponsor?
- No. Editorial listings stay free and independently verified regardless of whether you sponsor. Sponsorship only adds enhanced visibility features on top of the existing listing.
- What is your refund policy?
- If we cannot verify the claim within 30 days of payment, we refund in full. After the listing goes live, fees are non-refundable but you can pause or transfer the remaining term.
