KCB M-PESA loan USSD code (Kenya 2026): the exact menu path

Steps

  1. Dial *334# on your Safaricom line.
  2. Select Loans and Savings.
  3. Select KCB M-PESA.
  4. First-time users: accept the KCB terms and complete opt-in.
  5. Select Loan.
  6. Enter amount within your displayed limit.
  7. Review confirmation: principal, fee, total repayable, due date.
  8. Enter M-PESA PIN to confirm.

Check limit only

Same path, but select Check Limit instead of Loan. This shows your current KCB M-PESA borrowing ceiling.

Repay via USSD

  1. Dial *334#.
  2. Loans and Savings > KCB M-PESA > Repay Loan.
  3. Enter amount and PIN.

Alternatively, from any M-PESA send to the KCB M-PESA loans paybill; the confirmation screen shows the current balance.

What to check on the confirmation screen

  • Total repayable including excise, not just the headline fee.
  • Due date. Standard 30 days out.
  • Product name confirming KCB M-PESA (not M-Shwari).

Try M-Shwari for a smaller amount. If both decline, try Hustler Fund via *254#. See why loan apps reject you.
