What Aspira is

Aspira is a point-of-sale (POS) credit provider. In a partner retail store or e-commerce checkout, you can select Aspira as the payment method, provide KYC, and split the purchase price into scheduled instalments. Aspira pays the retailer up front; you repay Aspira over the agreed schedule.

How it works

  1. At an Aspira-partner retailer, choose Aspira at checkout.
  2. Complete KYC and repayment-capacity check.
  3. Receive an instalment schedule showing principal, fees, interest, and total repayable.
  4. Sign and take delivery. Aspira pays the retailer.
  5. Repay Aspira per schedule, typically monthly.

Pricing

Aspira prices as scheduled instalment credit, with a facility fee and interest. The critical figure is total repayable versus cash price at the retailer; that is your true credit cost for the purchase.

Who Aspira suits

Reasonable fit for a defined purchase where the alternative is a cash loan and paying the retailer. The total cost of Aspira on a specific item is often comparable to a cash loan for the same amount, and you avoid a separate application. Weak fit for open-ended cash needs; use a cash loan instead.

Cautions

  • Compare the Aspira total repayable to (a) the retailer's cash price and (b) the same amount on a cash lender. Sometimes cheaper, sometimes not.
  • Missed instalments carry penalties and can be reported to CRB.
  • Early settlement rules vary by contract; ask before signing.

If something goes wrong

  1. Contact Aspira customer service via published channels.
  2. Escalate to CBK Consumer Protection on 0800 720 000 if the entity is CBK-regulated.
  3. For consumer-goods disputes, the retailer is also a party.
