Verified Kenyan betting paybills directory (2026)

Every operator below takes deposits through M-PESA paybill. The flow is the same for all: M-PESA, Pay Bill, the operator's business number, your account number as the operator asks, amount, PIN.

The directory

"Still names BCLB" means the operator's footer cites the Betting Control and Licensing Board, which the GRA replaced under the Gambling Control Act 2025. Those licences may carry over, but we have not seen GRA confirm it, so ask GRA before you deposit. Each operator's paybill page has its own licence note with a link to the page we read.

Universal deposit flow

The same across these operators:

1. Open M-PESA on your phone (SIM toolkit, M-PESA app, or Safaricom OneApp).
2. Choose Lipa na M-PESA → Pay Bill.
3. Enter the operator's business number from the table above.
4. Enter your registered Safaricom phone number as the account.
5. Enter the amount in KES (most operators have a KES 50 minimum).
6. Enter your M-PESA PIN and confirm.

You receive an M-PESA confirmation SMS, then an operator SMS confirming the deposit. Reflects in 1-5 minutes typically.

How to compare them practically

The decision rarely comes down to deposit mechanics, those are identical. The dimensions that actually differ:

1. App quality. SportyBet is currently the most-cited best app in 2026. Betika and BetPawa are solid. The smaller operators have noticeably less polished apps.
2. Payout speed. SportyBet typically pays out fastest on routine withdrawals; Betika, OdiBets, and BetPawa usually within 30 minutes; smaller operators can take longer.
3. Markets and odds. 22Bet and SportyBet have the deepest international coverage. Betika and SportPesa have the strongest Kenyan football market depth.
4. Customer support. Larger operators have faster support response. Smaller operators rely more on email-only support.
5. Promotions. Mozzart Bet runs the most aggressive accumulator boosts. SportyBet runs regular cashback. Mid-tier operators often run welcome bonuses with high rollover requirements.

Taxes apply equally

Regardless of operator, Kenyan betting tax is identical under the Finance Act 2025: two flat 5% excise deductions, 5% on every deposit and 5% on every withdrawal. The bet is staked for the full wallet amount, there is no separate stake excise. The Finance Act 2026 also added a 20% withholding tax on winnings from 1 July 2026. Avoiding fake paybills

Scammers post fake "official" betting paybills on social media, especially before big matches. Common scam patterns:

• WhatsApp groups sharing "new" paybill numbers for big payouts
• Twitter/X accounts impersonating the operator with a different paybill
• SMS or call "from Betika support" offering account upgrades for a deposit
