How to pay

The Mara Triangle, the western part of the reserve run by the Mara Conservancy, uses the same rates and does not take cash. You pay by M-PESA or card, online through KAPS or with KAPS staff at Purungat Bridge, Oloololo Gate or Serena Airstrip. Kenyan citizens must show a national ID, and a driving licence is not accepted as proof.

We could not find an official Narok County page setting out how to pay at the other gates. Ask your lodge or safari operator for the current method before you travel, and pay only through the county or the operator, never to a personal number at the gate.
