Because Kenya's wallets are connected, you can send from Airtel Money to a Telkom T-Kash number the same way you send to M-PESA. Dial *334#, choose Send Money, choose Send to Any Network, enter the T-Kash number, enter the amount, and confirm with your PIN. The money lands in the T-Kash wallet. Cross-network fees follow the send-to-other-network bands, from KES 7 up to KES 108.
Step by step
- Dial *334#. On your Airtel line, dial *334#.
- Send Money. Select Send Money.
- Send to Any Network. Select Send Money to Any Network.
- Enter T-Kash number. Enter the recipient's Telkom (T-Kash) number and confirm it.
- Amount + PIN. Enter the amount, then your Airtel Money PIN.
Good to know
Airtel-to-Airtel is free, but a send to T-Kash is a cross-network transfer and carries the band fee. Confirm the number before you send, and keep the confirmation message. If it does not arrive, wait a few minutes, then call 100.
