To check your Airtel Money balance, dial *334# on your Airtel line, choose My Account, then Balance, and enter your PIN. Your balance comes back on screen and by SMS. You can also see it on the My Airtel app once you are logged in. Checking is free, and it keeps you from sending more than you have.
Step by step
- Dial *334#. On your Airtel line, dial *334#.
- My Account. Select My Account.
- Balance. Select Balance.
- PIN. Enter your 4-digit Airtel Money PIN. Your balance appears on screen and Airtel sends a confirmation SMS.
Good to know
Never check your balance on a phone someone else controls, and never read your PIN out loud. If a prompt ever asks for your PIN outside the *334# menu or the app, stop: Airtel never asks for it. You can also request a mini statement from the same My Account menu to see your last few transactions.

Can I get a statement too?
Yes. From *334# → My Account, choose Mini Statement for your last few transactions. For a full statement, call 100 or visit an Airtel shop.
Balance not showing after a deposit?
Wait a minute and retry. If it still does not show, keep the M-PESA / deposit confirmation and call Airtel on 100 or 0733 100 000 to trace it.
