Paybill coverage: the honest note
T-Kash paybill coverage is thinner than M-PESA paybill coverage. Many Kenyan businesses register only an M-PESA paybill and do not register a T-Kash paybill at all. Before you rely on T-Kash to pay a specific biller, confirm the biller lists a T-Kash paybill number. If they only list an M-PESA paybill, you cannot pay them from T-Kash directly: you'd need to send from T-Kash to an M-PESA wallet first, then pay the M-PESA paybill from there (two hops, two fees).
Daily and per-transaction limits
- Maximum single transaction: KES 250,000
- Maximum daily transaction total: KES 500,000
- Maximum wallet balance: KES 500,000
