Bitnob: Get Paid in Bitcoin to M-PESA

By Josephine Njeri · Crypto hub

Bitnob gives a Kenyan freelancer a Bitcoin address that receives BTC from any sender abroad, then converts and settles to M-PESA. It removes the P2P step: your client pays in Bitcoin, you get M-PESA. Useful when the client only pays crypto and you only want KES.

How to start

Sign up, KYC, get your Bitcoin address, share it with your client. Once BTC lands, cash out to M-PESA in the app.

Where it fits

Freelancers, contractors, and small international consultancy paid in BTC. Simpler than running your own Binance P2P off-ramp.

Trade-offs

Fees and a spread. Compare vs. P2P for your normal ticket size before you commit.

Frequently asked

Can I get paid in dollars instead?

Bitnob focuses on BTC settlement; for USDT use Binance or a service like Yellow Card.

Is it safe?

It is a real service operating across Africa.

Fee example?

Confirm current per-transaction cost in the app.
