To pay DStv Kenya from Airtel Money, dial *334#, choose Pay Bill, enter 444900, your Smartcard / IUC number, the amount, and your PIN. This costs KES 7 to KES 108 (cross-network band).

Step by step

1. Dial *334# from your Airtel SIM.
2. Choose Pay Bill.
3. Enter paybill number 444900.
4. Enter your account: Your DStv smartcard or IUC number (10 digits on your decoder).
5. Enter the amount in KES.
6. Confirm the recipient name on the screen (DStv Kenya).
7. Enter your Airtel Money PIN.
8. Save the confirmation SMS. It is your receipt if the payment needs to be traced.

What it costs

Paying an M-PESA paybill from Airtel Money is a cross-network transaction. Airtel charges the customer:

• KES 7 for amounts KES 101 to 500.
• KES 13 for KES 501 to 1,000.
• KES 23 to 33 for KES 1,001 to 2,500.
• KES 53 to 57 for KES 2,501 to 5,000.
• KES 78 to 90 for KES 5,001 to 10,000.
• KES 100 to 105 for KES 10,001 to 20,000.
• KES 108 for KES 20,001 and above (max charge).

If the payment does not reflect

1. Wait 5 minutes. Most paybills reconcile within 60 seconds.
2. Check the confirmation SMS: recipient name and transaction ID.
3. Call DStv Kenya customer care with the transaction ID. Most cases resolve within 24 to 48 hours.
4. If unresolved, call Airtel on 100 with the transaction ID.
