Kenyan package prices, read off dstv.com/en-ke on 13 September 2026, run from KES 750 a month (Lite, 45+ channels) through Access 1,450, Family 2,250, Compact 4,200 and Compact Plus 7,300 to KES 11,700 (Premium, 150+ channels). The M-PESA prompt asks for the exact package amount, not your account balance: underpaying leaves the money sitting as credit without activating anything. DStv Kenya publishes no customer-service telephone number; its channels are the MyDStv app, WhatsApp on +254 755 896248, USSD *423# and mchoice@ke.multichoice.com.

Paying DStv from outside Kenya
If you are abroad and this is a bill for family at home, the usual route costs you twice. You pay a transfer fee to get money into someone's M-PESA, then paying 444900 from that wallet is charged again on the M-PESA paybill tariff.
Before you send, check whether your transfer provider can pay a Kenyan paybill directly rather than paying a person. If it can, the money goes straight to DStv, the second charge never happens, and nobody at home has to do anything. Do this before the receiving account consumes the credit, and do not send a second payment until the first is traced.
You are told to enter a "Basket ID" and cannot find one.
Ignore it. DStv's own M-PESA instructions mention a Basket ID from Eazy Self Service, but every other payment route on the same page, and the real-world paybill flow, uses the smartcard number. Enter the smartcard number.
