GOtv Kenya uses paybill 423655 with your IUC number as the account, and GOtv is specific about where that number lives: a red sticker on the underside of the decoder. Kenyan prices, read off gotvafrica.com/en-ke on 13 September 2026, run from KES 299 a month (Lite, 30+ channels) through Value 599, Plus 999, Max 1,699 and Supa 2,199 to KES 3,199 (Supa+, 75+ channels). GOtv Lite is the only package sold on three cycles: 299 monthly, 650 quarterly and 1,500 annually, which works out at about KES 125 a month, a saving of roughly 58%. GOtv care is on +254 711 066 600, which we dialled on 13 September 2026. Two things GOtv states that are widely misreported elsewhere: Safaricom payments are reconciled "at least hourly" rather than instantly, and the decoder must be switched on when you pay.

Paying GOtv from outside Kenya
If you are abroad and this is a bill for family at home, the usual route costs you twice. You pay a transfer fee to get money into someone's M-PESA, then paying 423655 from that wallet is charged again on the M-PESA paybill tariff.
Before you send, check whether your transfer provider can pay a Kenyan paybill directly rather than paying a person. If it can, the money goes straight to GOtv, the second charge never happens, and nobody at home has to do anything. Providers differ on this and it changes, so confirm it in your own app rather than taking anyone else's word.

The decoder shows E16 after a successful payment.
E16 means no active subscription is being detected. GOtv gives three causes: the subscription is unpaid, you are on a channel outside your package, or the decoder software is out of date, that third one is missing from most explanations. Hard reset first (unplug 30 seconds), then clear the error yourself on *423#, the MyGOtv app, or selfservice.gotvafrica.com.
You paid against the wrong IUC number.
Call GOtv care on +254 711 066 600 with the M-PESA code, the correct IUC and the wrong one, and ask for a transfer between accounts. Do not pay again until the first payment is traced.
