DataAnnotation in Kenya: The Assessment, the ID Check and the Gaps
By Josephine Njeri · Online jobs hub
DataAnnotation pays people to review and rate AI answers, check accuracy and refine prompts. You get one attempt at a starter assessment of about an hour, then an ID check. Its pages, checked 16 October 2026, publish no list of supported countries, so we cannot tell you whether a Kenyan application will be accepted.
How to apply
- Apply only through DataAnnotation's own sign-up page. It says its verified sign-up flow is the only way to apply.
- Take the Starter Assessment. DataAnnotation says you can only take it once, and most take about an hour, so do it when you have time and a quiet place.
- If you pass, complete identity verification with a government photo ID and a selfie.
