By James Mwangi · Updated 12 September 2026
Which channel does what
- myPower app: buy tokens, check and pay bills, token history, account management.
- selfservice.kplc.co.ke: the same in a browser, and it handles new-connection applications.
- kplc.ecitizen.go.ke: apply and pay for Kenya Power services through your eCitizen account.
- chatbot.kplc.co.ke: quick answers without queueing on the phone.
When you still need the phone or an office
Reallocating a token paid to the wrong meter, disputing a bill, and anything involving a physical fault or a meter change still tend to need 97771 or a branch. Everything routine is faster online.
