Tingg Kenya pricing 2026
| Payment method | Fee |
|---|---|
| Mobile money in Kenya | 1% |
| Mobile money outside Kenya | 2% |
| Cards (Visa, Mastercard) | 2.8% |
What this means in practice
On a KES 1,000 sale, mobile money costs you about KES 10, while a card costs about KES 28. So if most of your customers pay by M-PESA, your effective processing cost is low, around 1%. Card is pricier, as it is everywhere, because the card networks take their cut.
How to keep costs down
Offer mobile money as the default and let card be the fallback, since mobile money is cheaper for you and familiar to most Kenyan customers. For high volumes, ask Tingg about negotiated rates. Confirm the current published rates and any setup terms with Tingg before you commit.
