Accept Card and Mobile Money Together with Tingg
By David Wachira · Tingg hub · paybillke is an independent guide and is not affiliated with Tingg.
The reason businesses choose Tingg is that one integration reaches every common way people pay. Instead of signing separate deals with each mobile money operator, each bank and each card network, you connect once to Tingg and reach them all, through Cellulant's network across around 35 African countries.
What you can accept
Card, including Visa and Mastercard, mobile money such as M-PESA, Airtel Money, MTN MoMo and Orange Money, and direct bank transfer. Your customer picks what suits them, which lifts conversion because nobody is turned away for lacking a card or a particular wallet.
How to start collecting
Choose your collection method, Checkout, a payment link, a payment page, or in store, set it up through the Tingg portal, and go live. You can add Payouts on the same account if you also disburse.
The pricing
In Kenya, Tingg charges 1% on mobile money, 2% on mobile money outside Kenya, and 2.8% on cards. So the cost depends on how your customer chooses to pay, and mobile money is the cheapest for you.
