What is my Safaricom number?
By David Wachira · Safaricom services hub · paybillke is an independent guide and is not affiliated with Safaricom services.
Dial *100# and choose My Number. Your number appears on screen. On some handsets *134# does the same. It is also shown in the mySafaricom app.
Why nobody knows their own number
You never dial it, so you never learn it. It comes up when you are registering for something, buying airtime for the line, or filling in a form, and at that exact moment it is not in your head and the SIM packet is long gone. Hence a page for it.
Three ways
- Dial *100# and choose My Number.
- On some handsets, *134# shows it directly.
- Open the mySafaricom app, where the number is on the account screen.
If the SIM is in a second phone or a router
A SIM in a MiFi, a router or a second handset has the same options if the device can dial USSD. If it cannot, the simplest route is to send a message or make a call to a phone you do have, and read the number off that.
