Running Your Till on *234# (USSD Guide)

You can run your till entirely on *234#, no smartphone needed. Dial from the nominated number, choose M-PESA Business Till, and everything (activate a store, change PIN, pay, withdraw, sell airtime, SIM swap) is available in the menu.
Activate a store
Enter your HO or store number, accept the terms; the store activates within about an hour with an SMS carrying your operator ID and start PIN.
Change PIN
Account Services > Change PIN. Enter operator ID, old PIN, new PIN, confirm. Do this the moment you receive the start PIN.
Pay another till or a paybill
The menu supports till-to-till and till-to-paybill payments, as well as sending to a mobile number and selling airtime for commission.
Withdraw
Choose the withdraw route: nominated number, agent, or bank.
DIY SIM swap for the till line
Under Account Services > SIM Swap. Enter the till number and the IMSI number printed on the replacement card, then operator ID and PIN. DIY on Android and USSD.
