How to buy Robux with M-PESA in Kenya

Buy Robux inside the Roblox Android app, and pay with M-PESA Xpress billing through Google Play. There is no M-PESA button on the Roblox website, and there is no M-PESA option on iPhone at all. Set M-PESA up once under Play Store, account, payment methods, and it appears at every future checkout.

Why the website will not work

Roblox sells Robux directly on roblox.com using cards and a few international wallets. M-PESA is not among them, and Roblox has never offered it. Guides that tell you to "select M-Pesa at checkout on the Roblox website" are describing a screen that does not exist. One of them ranks on page one of Google in Kenya right now.

The route that does work

  1. Use an Android phone with a registered Safaricom line and a registered M-PESA account.
  2. Open the Play Store, tap the home icon, go to account, then payment methods.
  3. Choose M-PESA Xpress billing and register your details. You only do this once.
  4. Open the Roblox app, go to Robux, and pick the amount you want.
  5. At checkout select M-PESA Xpress. A confirmation window shows the amount.
  6. Tap buy. A PIN push arrives on your phone. Enter your M-PESA PIN.
  7. The Robux land on the account that is signed in to the app.

The part people get wrong

The Robux go to whichever Roblox account is signed in on that phone, not to a username you type at checkout. If you are buying for a child, sign in to their account on the device first, or buy on their phone. Getting this wrong is the single most common complaint, and it is not something Safaricom or Roblox can reverse for you.

No. Apple’s own payment methods page for Kenya lists credit and debit cards only. There is no M-PESA option and no carrier billing on an Apple Account registered in Kenya.

Yes. M-PESA Xpress billing is offered to M-PESA registered customers in Kenya on Android devices, per Safaricom.

Where do the Robux go?

To the Roblox account signed in on that device. Not to a username typed at checkout. Sign in to the right account before you buy.
