How to Deposit to a Co-op Account from M-PESA

To move money from M-PESA into a Co-op Bank account, use paybill 400200 with your Co-op account number as the account. Co-op does not charge for an M-PESA deposit into your account, so this is a free way to fund your bank account. To go the other way, from Co-op to M-PESA, use the Co-op app or *667#, which carries a small tiered fee.

M-PESA to Co-op

  1. Lipa na M-PESA, then Pay Bill.
  2. Business number 400200.
  3. Account, your Co-op Bank account number.
  4. Enter the amount and PIN, then confirm.

Co-op to M-PESA

On the Co-op app or *667#, choose to send to M-PESA, enter the number and amount, and confirm. The fee is tiered up to about KES 50.

Good to know

Use your exact Co-op account number as the account, and keep the confirmation. If it does not reflect, contact Co-op with the M-PESA code.
