NCBA internet banking: Connect and ConnectPlus

By Arnold Ochieng · NCBA Bank Kenya hub · paybillke is an independent guide and is not affiliated with NCBA Bank Kenya.

NCBA's internet banking is NCBA Connect, at ncbaconnect.ncbagroup.com, with ConnectPlus as the newer platform aimed at businesses. Personal customers are generally better served by the NCBA Now app or *488#.

Who each channel is for

NCBA Connect and ConnectPlus. Business and corporate banking: viewing accounts, initiating and approving payments, and managing cash across entities. The approval workflow is the point, because it lets one person raise a payment and another release it.

NCBA Now. Personal banking on mobile, including opening an account.

*488#. Any handset, no data.

Self-service portal. selfservice.ncbagroup.com, for routine requests.

Registering

Registration runs through NCBA with your account details, and for business platforms it involves mandates that define who can raise and who can approve. That paperwork is worth doing carefully at setup, because getting the approval limits wrong is the thing businesses discover at the worst possible moment.

Security, plainly

Never share your password, PIN or a one-time code, including with someone who calls claiming to be from NCBA. Check the address bar before you log in, because a convincing fake login page is the single most common way business banking credentials are stolen in Kenya. If you think credentials have leaked, call 0800 720 444 immediately rather than waiting to see whether anything happens.
