Login security, what to keep in mind

Do not reuse your M-PESA PIN. If one leaks, the other goes too.
Real Shabiki SMS uses a branded sender ID. Anything from a phone number claiming to be Shabiki, or with a link that is not on shabiki.com, is a phishing attempt.
Shabiki support will never ask for your PIN. Hang up if a caller does.
Log out on shared devices. Never just close the tab.

What credentials can I use to log in to Shabiki?

Shabiki Kenya ties accounts to your registered Safaricom number. Enter it exactly as it appears in your registration SMS or the app under My Account. The mobile web and Android APK both accept the same credentials.

What if I forget my Shabiki PIN?

Use the Forgot PIN link on shabiki.com/login. Shabiki sends a reset link or a fresh PIN by SMS to your registered Safaricom number within about 60 seconds. If nothing arrives, check that SMS delivery is enabled on your line and that promotional filters are not blocking the sender ID.

Can I log in to Shabiki from a browser?

Do I need the Shabiki app to log in?

Why is my Shabiki account locked?

Repeated wrong PIN attempts trigger a short soft lock. You do not need to wait it out. Use the Forgot PIN flow and set a fresh PIN; that bypasses the lock. If lockouts recur, someone else may have your credentials, so reset again and treat the account as potentially compromised.

Does Shabiki charge to log in?

No. Login itself is free on all channels. Standard mobile data rates apply for the app and browser. Deposits attract the M-PESA paybill tariff plus the 5% Finance Act 2025 deposit excise; those are separate from the login flow.
