The Betika-Cashia onboarding flow

When you sign up via Betika's Cashia link, the onboarding URL carries ?source=betika, which attributes your new Cashia wallet to Betika. The flow is phone-first: enter your Kenyan phone number, accept terms and consent, verify the OTP, and complete wallet setup in the app.

Fund your Cashia wallet (free from M-PESA)

In the Cashia app, tap Add Money, choose M-PESA, enter the amount, and confirm the STK push. Deposit from M-PESA is free at every amount.

Use it on Betika

Choose Cashia as your Betika payment method, enter the amount, and confirm. Deposit hits your Betika wallet; withdrawals from Betika settle back to your Cashia wallet, from where you can send to M-PESA, an agent or your bank via PesaLink.

The honest cost note

Funding Cashia from M-PESA is free, but paying out from Cashia to M-PESA or an agent carries the tariff on the pricing page. Cashia-to-Cashia moves are cheapest. Weigh this against the M-PESA-direct paybill option.
