Cashia Wallet (2026)

By James Mwangi · Cashia hub

The Cashia Wallet is a CBK-licensed digital wallet you use to send, receive and cash out money in Kenya. Open it on the web at app.cashia.com or in the Cashia app, top up for free from M-PESA or Airtel, pay merchants that accept Cashia, and cash out via an agent, PesaLink to your bank, or back to M-PESA.

How to open a wallet

Sign up at app.cashia.com or in the Cashia app, verify your phone number with the OTP, agree to the terms, and set your PIN. Onboarding is minutes, not days.

Top up (deposit)

Deposit is free from M-PESA or Airtel Money. Deposit by card costs 3% local and 3.6% international. Deposit at a Cashia agent is free.

Send, receive, pay

Send to another Cashia wallet or to M-PESA / Airtel. Pay merchants that accept Cashia. Use your Stika (@handle) so you never share your phone number.

Cash out

Withdraw at a Cashia agent, send via PesaLink to your bank, or send to M-PESA. Each has its own tariff, capped at KES 250 for large agent withdrawals and KES 100 for PesaLink.
