About this code
M-PESA is Safaricom's mobile money service and *334# is the main menu USSD shortcut. Dialling this code opens the full M-PESA menu on any phone, including feature phones, no app required. From here you can send money, pay bills, withdraw at agents, top up airtime, access M-Shwari and KCB M-PESA loans, and check your balance.

Common issues
- Code does not return a menu: Check your line is registered and active. Restart phone if necessary.
- Service unavailable error: Try *144# as backup, or wait 5 minutes and retry. M-PESA briefly throttles during peak load.
