To pay Egerton University fees by M-PESA, use Co-op Bank paybill 400222 with the account made of school code 6 and your student number (Egerton lists more than one deposit code; confirm the correct one for your campus on your fee statement), entered as 6#your student number with no spaces.

The steps

  1. On M-PESA choose Lipa na M-PESA, then Pay Bill.
  2. Enter business number 400222.
  3. Enter the account as 6#your student number (no spaces).
  4. Enter the amount and your M-PESA PIN, then confirm.
  5. Keep the SMS as proof, and if the payment does not reflect, contact the bursar with the M-PESA code.
