Money market fund paybill numbers

To top up a money market fund with M-PESA, go to Lipa na M-PESA, then Pay Bill. Enter the fund's business number, and for the account number enter your member number in the exact format your fund uses. The format is where most failed deposits come from: CIC wants your number plus "M", Etica client codes already end in a letter (like 1019M), and Cytonn and Madison take the bare number.
Where these numbers come from
Every number in the table below was read on the fund manager's own website on 19 October 2026. Funds we could not confirm are listed separately, without a number, rather than guessed.
We have not yet keyed these paybills on M-PESA ourselves. So before you enter your PIN, check that the business name on the M-PESA confirmation screen is the fund or its manager. If it shows anything else, cancel.

Fund by fund
Etica. Etica gets the most searches of any Kenyan MMF. Use 4096483 for its shilling funds and type your client code exactly as it shows in the Etica app, letter included. Etica's dollar funds are paid through Equity's paybill 247247 to a bank account; see the dollar MMF page.
CIC. CIC's deposit guide for paybill 600118 says to add M after your member number for the money market fund, and other letters for its other funds (E for equity, F for fixed income, B for balanced). Some other CIC pages say to add no letters. We have asked CIC which format applies today. If a deposit goes missing, call CIC on 0703 099 322 with the M-PESA code.
Cytonn. Paybill 775093 is the shilling MMF. 788367 is the Cytonn High Yield Fund, a different product, so check which one your client code belongs to. Cytonn also takes deposits through its app, *809# and its client portal, all of which send an M-PESA prompt.
Old Mutual. Paybill 600500 covers Old Mutual unit trusts, including the MMF, with your unit trust account number. See the Old Mutual unit trust record. You can also use *480# on your i-INVEST registered number.
Madison. Paybill 653039, with your Madison member number. Madison also runs *828#.
Ziidi. No paybill at all. Ziidi lives inside the M-PESA app and *334#, from KES 100. See the Ziidi guide.
Not yet confirmed
We could not find an M-PESA paybill for these on the managers' own sites, so we do not publish one:
- SanlamAllianz Money Market Fund. We found a paybill only on an older Sanlam form and on blogs. Asking SanlamAllianz to confirm before we publish it.
- Britam Money Market Fund. Britam's pages show the *778# USSD menu and the Britam app, not a paybill. Deposit through those.
- NCBA Money Market Fund. NCBA's bank paybill is not confirmed for fund deposits. Deposit through NCBA's own channels.
- Kuza, Arvocap, Lofty-Corban, GulfCap and Mali. No official paybill page found. Deposit through the fund's own app.
If a number for any of these reaches you by WhatsApp or SMS, do not pay it until the fund confirms it on its own channels.
If your deposit does not show
- Wait up to 24 hours. Cytonn says working-day M-PESA deposits can take that long.
- Check that the M-PESA SMS shows the right business name and the account number you meant to type.
- Send the fund the M-PESA code, the amount, the time and your member number. Use the fund's own email or WhatsApp, never a number someone sends you.
