No, M-Akiba is not open. On 25 October 2026 the Central Bank of Kenya's table of Treasury bond issues, which runs up to bonds issued this year, listed no M-Akiba issue after 9 September 2019. The last M-Akiba bond it lists matured on 7 September 2020. No 2026 offer appears on CBK's site.

What M-Akiba was

M-Akiba was a Government of Kenya retail infrastructure bond for ordinary savers. CDSC's notice for the last sale describes it as the M-Akiba Retail Infrastructure Bond, launched jointly by the National Treasury, the Central Depository and Settlement Corporation (CDSC) and the Nairobi Securities Exchange. CBK's bond table lists every issue, with a three-year term and a 10% coupon.
