CIC Insurance is a major Kenyan insurer with a strong co-operative and micro-insurance base. Paying a premium from M-PESA keeps a policy active without a branch visit, and it is a single Pay Bill flow. The account field is your policy number.
The verified paybill
CIC Insurance uses paybill 600111 for premium payments. The account is your policy number, printed on your policy document or membership card. It is not your national ID and not your phone number.

- Business number: 600111.

The reference trap
Insurance paybills change
Premium paid but policy still shows lapsed
If M-PESA confirmed but your policy still reads lapsed or unpaid, the money has usually reached the insurer and is waiting to be reconciled to your policy. Give it a few hours. If it has not posted, contact CIC with your 10-character M-PESA transaction code and your policy number. Keep the SMS until the policy updates.
What it costs
Standard M-PESA paybill fees apply. CIC does not add a fee on top.
| If you pay | M-PESA fee | Total off your wallet |
|---|---|---|
| KES 500 | KES 5 | KES 505 |
| KES 1,000 | KES 10 | KES 1,010 |
| KES 5,000 | KES 34 | KES 5,034 |
| KES 20,000 | KES 62 | KES 20,062 |
