A private car or saloon is KES 200 a day, KES 3,300 a month, or KES 35,600 for the full year. A canter or pickup of 2 to 5 tons is KES 400 a day. A lorry of 5 to 10 tons is KES 600 a day. A vehicle above 10 tons, a semi-trailer or a tractor with a trailer is KES 700 a day. A breakdown vehicle parked on the road is KES 250 a day. Parking at Kongowea market is KES 100 for any vehicle.
Clamping fees
A clamped saloon or pickup is KES 1,000 to release, a mini-bus, matatu or canter KES 2,100, a bus or lorry KES 4,100, and a trailer KES 6,000. A reserved parking bay for a saloon or pickup is KES 250,000 a year.
